Terry White Chemists Launceston is proud to be a part of the local community. We use any surplus funds to further worthy causes, particularly in the field of medical research and the advancement of community health.

In line with this philosophy we are major donors to the following institutions:

The Clifford Craig Medical Research Trust.

We are a founding donor and Fellow of the Clifford Craig Medical Research Trust, a body whose objectives are to act as a catalyst for the initiation and construction of health care research at the Launceston General Hospital and the North West Regional Hospital at Burnie for the benefit of the community, using funding mechanisms and encouraging the forging of strong bonds between the community, the hospitals, the University of Tasmania and other research organisations.

Recent research projects for the Trust include research into heart disease, Crohns disease, healthy ageing and further asthma studies.

University of Tasmania Pharmacy School

Launceston Friendly Society Pharmacy Limited provides an annual prize to the School which is awarded to the student who gains the highest mark over four consecutive years of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree.

University of Tasmania School of Nursing

Launceston Friendly Society Pharmacy Limited provides an annual prize to the School which is awarded to a nursing student who shows care, concern and compassion with clinical competency.
